- The Corrs have been around since 1989 and up to 2005 have sold over 24 million albums.
In September 2005, the band released Home, an album of traditional Irish songs.
The band are made up of 3 sisters and brother Jim Corr (b.1964). Sharon Corr (b.1970), Caroline Corr (b.1973) & Andrea (b.1974). Andrea is at 5' 1" the shortest member of the band.
- Her mother apparently had a voice like Karen Carpenter. She died of a rare lung disease at 57.
She is from Dundalk, 11 miles south of Ulster.
Her brother Jim had a part in the film The Commitments. He brought his sisters down to audition for John Hughes, who was organising the music. He was so knocked out by The Corrs that he decided to manage them.
Andrea Corr quote:
'Catholicism isn't about contentment. When things are forbidden they are more pleasurable. I don't feel guilty about success - we work hard, we earned it.' (2005)
Away from the band, she is an actress. 2005 saw her making the film The Bridge, where she played a psychiatric nurse. Next up is a film with Saffron Burrows and Linus Roache.
Andrea's favourite films are Midnight Cowboy and All About Eve.
- In 2003, whilst making the film The Boys from County Clare, she became involved with her on-screen love interest Shaun Evans. They are still together. He is 5 years her junior.
Rumoured previous love interest was Giles Baxendale, now in management for Charlotte Church.
On her fabricated rmance with Robbie Williams, she says:
'Robbie and I were friends. We went out a couple of times. He sent me flowers with a note that said, "What Can I Do To Make You Love Me?" and I said, "Entertain Me." It was fun, it was cheeky and we'll both be grandparents before we can forget it.' (2005)
She denies any romances with Mick Jagger or Simon Fuller.
