Gorgeous! Just gorgeous! 19th Century Cottage Interior with evocative figure of old lady to centre - wonderful strong character face. Lovely kitten sipping milk in the background. Oil on Board indistinctly signed initials are D W and start of surname is H but I cannot read the rest.

Condition: Please note the painting is slightly darker than shown - the second photograph taken with a flash shows truer colour.

The painting also has two scratches which can be seen - these however are not as visible as in photos as I have lightened the painting to show details. The scratches are on the mantel piece area - at the side of the fire there is a poker which may look like a scratch in the photographs. The painting has been varnished at some point. Minor marks at very edge of painting where it was previously in a frame.

However, this is one of the finest paintings I have seen and is just breathtaking.
