Regular exhibitor at the Nottingham Castle Museum.
A charming and accomplished Antique English Impressionist School oil by the well collected and exhibited Nottingham Artist Ernest Cox. Cox exhibited at Nottingham Castle Museum on no fewer than 56 occasions and some of his work is held in the Museum Repository.
Cox was prolific around the Clifton and south of the Trent area of Nottinghamshire. This is most probaly a view od such a village. Condition: reasonably good for its age though with some dirty varnish (notably top right) and a small puncture mark to the sky - see photo.
