History of Rock Magazine, Issue 58
The Beatles 1964 - 70
Paperback: 24 pages
Publisher: Orbis Publishing (1982)
Sized: 11" 8.5" inches approx
Rare magazine exclusively devoted to the history of the Beatles from 1964 to 1970 with great photographs and a consise, informative biography.
I love the biography. If you know eerything about the band then you will learn nothing new but if you are a casual observer of the band, or have a casual interest, then this is for you as it is packed with all the crucial information from the period and written in a way that captures your interest with every sentence.
The photos are also great and I have scanned a few below. My personal favourite is the one of the Apple Shop from Paddington Street, London, W.1.. It's a kind of a reminder that once upon a time there was art in the high street as opposed to now where every highstreet is the same. You could be in Inverness or Folkestone but you are in the same high street packed with the same big franchise shops. Big business, same names. Once there was something poetic in a prosaic world.
Condition: - ' Used - Good'. Cover has slight wear in places consistent with age (see scans below).
