Edward Seago was chiefly a painter of landscapes in an Impressionist style.
His first London exhibtion was in London at the age of 34. He held exhibitions not only in London but Brussels, Glasgow, Los Angeles, Montreal, New York, Oslo, and Toronto.
In 1946, he presented a series of paintings about the Italian war.
He was a member of the Royal Society of British Artists from 1946, and of the Royal Watercolors Society from 1959.
In later life he lived and painted on the Costa Smeralda, Sardinia.
