Melozzo da Forlì work now only survives in fragmentary condition. He was famous in the 16th century as the inventor of extreme foreshadowing.
Fragments of an important fresco are in the Vatican. His some of 1493/4 in S. Biagio, Forli, was destroyed in the 2nd World War.
There are frescoes at Loreto.
