- Known as: Naïve (modern primitive) artist
- Born: 1872, Poland (part formerly belongong to Russia)
- Died: 1946, New York
Morris Hirschfield emigrated to America in 1890. He worked in a ladies fashion house, became known for painting naked women, and, perhaps, worringly, could paint with great precision ladies' underwear and shoes. Whatever his fetishists, he was undoubtedly a great artist.
He left no more than 70 paintings.
