this is an unusual backpatch in that it does not have the usual hemmed edge, so it tends to have a slightly frayed look. the print quality is not perfect, but this was quite common with this sort of backpatch made back in the day!

these patches were made many years ago, but are new and have never been used. they were made as 'iron on' patches, but after all this time the glue may no longer work, so we prefer to call them 'sew on'. they don't have the usual edging of standard woven patches so have a slightly frayed edge.

it is made of some sort of synthetic silky type material, and printed on both sides. these scarves are many years old, but they are new and have never been used, although the print quality is not perfect and some of them have small brown marks that they have acquired from their time in storage.
