      Sandra Blow lives and works in St.Ives, Cornwall. Her work when it comes up at auction is very difficult to sale to the point where I would say it has very little sale-on value. So only buy her work if you love it as if you buy it to sell it you probaly won't.

      • 1941-46: Studies at St Martinís School of Art

      • 1947-48: Studies first at the Royal Academy Schools and then at the Academy of Fine Arts, Rome

      • 1951: Solo exhibition at Gimpel Fils, London. Exhibits regularly there until mid-1960s

      • 1957: Participates in Young British Painters group exhibition at The Art Club, Chicago

      • 1957-58: Works in Cornwall

      • 1958: Participates in Venice Biennale Young Artists Section group exhibition

      • 1960: Begins teaching at the Royal College of Art. Joint-winner of the International Guggenheim Award (The Solomon R Guggenheim Museum, New York)

      • 1961: Second Prize Winner in the John Moores Liverpool Exhibition

      • 1966: Solo exhibition at the New Art Centre, London

      • 1967: Participates in Aspects of New British Art, British Council touring group exhibition of Australia and New Zealand

      • 1968: Solo exhibitions at the New Art Centre, London and Clare College, Cambridge

      • 1971: Solo exhibition at the New Art Centre, London. Elected ARA

      • 1973: Solo exhibition at the New Art Centre, London. Made Fellow of the Royal College of Art

      • 1979: Solo exhibition at the Diploma Gallery, Royal Academy of Arts, London. Elected RA

      • 1985: Participates in St Ives group exhibition at the Tate Gallery, London

      • 1991: Solo exhibition at the Francis Graham-Dixon Gallery, London

      • 1994: Retrospective of her work at the Sackler Galleries, Royal Academy

      • 1995: Receives commission for a glass screen for Heathrow Airport. Illustrates the book Waves on Porthmeor Beach, by Alaric Sumner

      • 1997: Solo exhibition at the New Millennium Gallery, St Ives

      • 2001: Solo exhibition at Tate St Ives

      • 2003: Made Honorary Fellow of the London Institute

      • 2004: Solo exhibition at the Caroline Wiseman, London

      • 2006: Solo exhibition at the Lemon Street Gallery, Truro
