      Making her second appearance as Miss Marple, Helen Hayes broughtdown the curtain on a 75-year screencareer by deducing which of the galleryof eccentrics, gathered at a ramblingEnglish mansion, intends bumping offJohn Mills's beloved wife, Bette Davis.

      Although not one of Christie's bestmysteries, it's certainly one of thebusiest with countless characters tokeep track of and a rather contrivedconclusion.
