What we are offering here is a very interesting mid 19th century portrait of a woman dressed in black and lace. We think the painting may be American in origin. The painting is not signed but is very good quality and is almost certainly by a professional artist.
The painting has not been relined and is a little grubby with scratches and a small tear at bottom right. The painting could do with a good clean. Unframed.
