David Bowie - Ziggy Stardust - The Motion Picture Cassette. Ziggy Stardust is a cassette release that really needs play testing before sending out & this I will do. Like all cassettes it has to be handled with love and care as out of all formats it's the one prone to playback issues. One trick you can do to avoid tapes breaking is to fast forward/rewind a couple of times before playing. Chances are these tapes haven't been played for 30/40 years so you have to be really careful bringing them back to life. The cassettes captures those moments, those times as if you were back there in the early 1970s.

Released in 1983, Ziggy Stardust - The Motion Picture documents David Bowie’s final performance as Ziggy Stardust, recorded live at the Hammersmith Odeon in 1973. The recording captures a pivotal moment in Bowie’s career when he dramatically retired the Ziggy persona on stage, marking the end of one of his most influential artistic eras.

The album presents live versions of key songs from the Ziggy Stardust period, including material drawn from The Rise And Fall Of Ziggy Stardust And The Spiders From Mars as well as other early 1970s recordings. Description
Recorded at the Hammersmith Odeon, London, on the 3rd of July 1973. Originally intended to have been released in February 1974 as a double LP ("Bowie-ing Out") but the plan was abandoned. Finally released in October 1983. Subsequently re-released in a remixed form as a 30th anniversary edition in 2003.
