The album has oft been critized for sounding too produced for a live album, which is a fair point, but once you consider the material that the band are playing it's easy to see it's complex stuff, the only way to get it to sound right is sounding more produced. There's no real sense of audience in this album, they only appear at the beginning and end of songs to applaud.

That being said the album is great for those who are fans of Bowie's Berlin period in the late 70's. The first CD draws on songs from the classic album 'Low' and '"Heroes"', while the second CD goes into Bowie's back catalogue with 5 songs from 'Ziggy Stardust' and others from 'Station to Station' and 'Young Americans'.
