In Bram Stokers masterpiece of the horror genre, Jonathan Harker visits Transylvania to help Count Dracula purchase a London house, but makes horrifying discoveries about his client and his castle. Soon afterward, a number of dusturbing incidents unfold in England: an unmanned ship is wrecked at Whitby; strange puncture marks appear on a young woman's neck; and a lunatic asylum inmate raves about the immiment arrival of his "Master". These lead to a deadly battle of wits between the sinister Count Dracula and a determined group of adversaries.

Bram Stoker was born in Dublin in 1847 and, having graduated from Trinity College, worked as a civil servant in Dublin Castle. In 1878 he became Sir Henry Irving's business manager at London's Lyceum Theatre, a post he retained for the next twenty seven years. Stoker wrote a number of novels and short stories, but it is Dracula that granted him literary immortality. Bram Stoker died in 1912.

Richard E. Grant is one of Britain's most talented actors. In addition to his work on the London stage and in BBC television productions, he has appeared in many films, including Dracula, L.A. Story and Withnail and I.
