David Sylvian - Secrets Of The Beehive CD, Album, Reissue (Europe)

David Sylvian's Secrets of the Beehive was originally released on October 19, 1987 in Europe and the United States. The album was recorded in multiple locations, including London, Bath, and Chateau Miraval in France1. It was later released in Japan on November 21, 1987.

The CD version of the album was issued under Virgin Records with the catalog number CDV 2471. A remastered limited digipak version was released in 2003, featuring the bonus track Promise (The Cult of Eurydice), which replaced Forbidden Colours from the original CD release.

Sylvian collaborated with several musicians, including Ryuichi Sakamoto, David Torn, Danny Thompson, and Mark Isham, among others. The album was praised for its lyrical depth and minimalist arrangements, focusing more on the songwriting rather than studio effects
