Japan
Japan's compilation album Exorcising Ghosts was originally released in November 1984. It was compiled and produced in consultation with the band’s lead singer, David Sylvian, two years after the band dissolved. The album features a selection of tracks from their earlier albums, including “Gentlemen Take Polaroids” and “Tin Drum,” as well as some rarities and B-sides.
The CD version had to omit five tracks from the original double LP to fit the format’s limitations. The album was well-received and reached No. 45 on the UK Albums Chart.
Recently, a half-speed remastered edition of the album was released, mastered at Abbey Road Studios. This edition includes a gatefold sleeve, printed inner bags, a print of the band, and an Abbey Road Half Speed Master Certificate.
