David Bowie - Scary Monsters Cassette, Album. Scary Monsters is a cassette release that really needs play testing before sending out & this I will do. It was a popular release back in the day, then left for 30 odd years unplayed and with the recent cassette revival is starting to be collected and played again. Last of the cultish 'art' albums until the 1990s - in-between he crossed over into the mainstream with Let's Dance et al. RCA to EMI & the floodgates opened. Like all cassettes it has to be handled with love and care as out of all formats it's the one prone to playback issues. One trick you can do to avoid tapes breaking is to fast forward/rewind a couple of times before even thinking of playing. Like I said, chances are these tapes haven't been played for 30/40 years so you have to be really careful bringing them back to life.
