Maria Casares (1922-96) was the female star of Jean Cocteau's Orphee &also appeared in his Testament of Orpheus (1959) as well as the classic Robert Bresson 1945 film, Les dames du Bois de Boulogne. she was also romantically involved in real with the great French Existentialist writer, Albert Camus.Aized 7" x 4.5 inches approx. Signed on the front with a handwritten message on the reverse.
