Pablo Picasso ~ The Dog
Size without border: 22 x 16 cm
Size with border: 40 x 50 cm
Product Type: Art Print
This art print displays sharp, vivid images with a high degree of color accuracy. A member of the versatile family of art prints, this high-quality reproduction represents the best of both worlds: quality and affordability. Art prints are created on paper similar to that of a postcard or greeting card using a digital or offset lithography press.
If possible, and especially important with all things Picasso because of the beauty of the work, it's best to buy the official prints even if they are a bit more expensive. The reproduction should be of a quality to capture every small detail of the work as anything that is not of the highest quality will detract from the piece.

If you're going to spend your hard earned money on a print then you want it at its absolute best as chances are, you're going to have it for a long time and, let's be honest, if it's a Picasso then it's going to be with you your whole lifetime.
A life without Picasso is a very sad place indeed.
This is one of a few pages I've created to share some of my most treasured & loved Picasso items and the reasons why. A full list can be found here.
All the items are inexpensive and yet are of the highest quality.
The Dog, possibly a portrait of his dachshund, Lump, is the most famous of his numerous animal drawings. In contrast with the bold complexity of his other works, Picasso’s beloved animals were always drawn with a gentle touch. His drawings of doves, flowers, butterflies and owls all reflect this minimalist style. I, for one, love his simple work as it touches the heart with its sublime simplicity. The heart knows better.
Interesting, Lump and Picasso died within 10 days of each other though he dog had been returned t his original owner some years previous.
I can never see that dog without seeing Picasso's dog. How did he do it? With a line he made an image that will last forever because it is simply beautiful. No art historian has to tell you that: just feel it.
