I think the first word you would use to describe Romy Schneider both on the screen and in photographs is 'astonishing'. Certainly she was astonishingly beautiful and I would venture that purely on a superficial level she is one of the most beautiful women we have ever seen. but it's more than that. far deeper. Astonishing in the sheer striking beauty she possessed the diversity of it. She could look almost childlike one moment and then as sensuous as you're ever likely to ever see.There was a depth to her eyes that I swear reached her soul.

Certainly, there has been nobody since who have matched her. What a presence. What a star!
