This is one of a series of 11 in the Professions edition published in the 1970s.
These are rare, possibly reproduced on paper by the same publisher Dali asked to make a solid silver set. These rarely come on the market.
Colourful and in virtually mint condition, printed in the 1970s on silver / coloured paper with Dali signed in the image, and pencil numbered from a ltd edn of 1000. These have not been in reproduction for 30 years and thus are rarer and rarer to find. The titles of which are listed in Albert Field's book on Dali's prints, text page 217, appendix "m". Each includes Dali's description on the back of the print of the profession e.g. "Doctor". This was intended to be a longer series ... and was later authorized for eleven originals to be used for an addition produced by serigraphy on plaques of gold and silver. Only the silver ones were ever made.
Please note: as of today (2nd April 2012) I haven't had the chance to check the authenticity of this print so I am selling this as 'Attributed to Dali' and the price reflects this as it is the same incl. postage as you would pay for an ordinary poster. So buy it if you like the image and once I have the chance to check out the print using the Dali print text books I will adjust the description accordingly.
